Do we really need this?
Apart from the human cost, remember that your taxes go to pay for all
the enforcement (TVL itself, the police who attend search warrants, the courts,
lawyers), and your taxes pay to keep some people in prison for non-payment - not to mention the
related costs of social work and lost economic activity. All of which is, in effect, an additional BBC subsidy.
